About LibertasGB
Providing outstanding care by putting our children and young people at the centre of everything we do
Libertas GBR Limited provides residential accommodation for looked-after children (LAC) aged 7-17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), learning disabilities, trauma, attachment issues, and related needs, on behalf of local authority social services. Our primary goal is to create a “warm and homely environment” where young people feel safe and independent, with support readily available when needed. Our service is specifically tailored to meet the complex needs of children facing significant emotional and behavioural challenges, as well as learning disabilities. Our home is designed to feel like a family residence, minimising signage and commercial elements to maintain a warm, home-like atmosphere.

- Medium-term placements
- Solo placements for children who may benefit from a longer placement before stepping down.
Libertas was created out of a desire to make a difference to young people’s’ lives. We provide the highest levels of care for children and young people aged between 7-17 years with autism, learning difficulties, and/or associated challenging behaviours.
We work in partnership with local authorities to achieve positive outcomes for the young people who are placed in our care, and to enable them to acquire the practical life skills they need to live as independently as able.
We adopt a holistic approach to providing positive outcomes, with individually tailored support plans and outcome-based goals for each young person.
We aim provide a calm and therapeutic environment that feels nurturing, and in which young people feel safe and secure. This helps to facilitate an atmosphere of calm in which they are then able to develop and thrive.
It is our belief that every young person has the right to be treated as an individual with their needs being met in an environment that offers the correct balance between care and control, with a high degree of stability and consistency.
Our residential children’s homes are registered to care for children aged 7-17 years, offering 52 weeks a year residential care.
